British Sporting Cars has extensive experience in the full restoration of most popular British marques, including Mini, MG, Austin Healey and Triumph, and is the only workshop in Australia to have completed restorations on the genuine BMC works Mini’s – LRX 828E and LRX 829E.
Simon Young, British Sporting Cars owner and principle mechanic, was one of the founding members of the Historic Rally Association and as such, has vast experience in historic rally preparations, including period suspension & engine modifications. This expertise was utilised by the Mini Compair team, and individual competitors, in the gruelling Targa Tasmania event for several years, with many category and class wins. Not only have there been rally success’s, but ones on the circuit as well with engines and cars prepared here also enjoying class wins and most notably - the MG Car Club championship.
